What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your browser or device. They help us recognize you, remember settings, secure sessions, and measure performance. Some expire when you close the browser (session cookies); others persist until they expire or you delete them (persistent cookies).
How Ord Collect Uses Cookies
We use a minimal set of first-party cookies for four purposes:
-
Essential operation —
oc_session
(session)
Assigns a temporary, anonymous identifier so page requests and signed actions remain secure (e.g., CSRF protection, step-to-step flows). -
Preferences —
oc_prefs
(30-day persistent)
Remembers language, theme, and cookie-banner choices so you don’t have to reselect them on every visit. -
Analytics & performance —
oc_analytics
(24-hour persistent)
Used by our self-hosted Plausible Analytics (US region) to count visits/events in an aggregated, privacy-respecting way. Set only if you consent. -
Referral & marketing —
oc_referral
(14-day persistent)
Stores the referrer/affiliate code so we can attribute eligible mints or listings—only if you consent to marketing cookies.
Your Consent & Control
On first visit you’ll see a banner with options to Accept All, Reject Non-Essential, or Manage categories. You can change your choices anytime:
- Use the Cookie Settings link in the footer to reopen the banner, or
- Manage cookies in your browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, etc.).
Blocking essential cookies (e.g., oc_session
) may break wallet-connect popups, minting, and login flows.
Third-Party Scripts
We keep external scripts to a minimum:
- Plausible Analytics (self-hosted, US region, privacy-first). Uses
oc_analytics
only with your consent. - Optional chat widget (loaded only when you open it). Its vendor may set its own cookies, disclosed in their notice.
We do not include Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or similar advertisers unless you explicitly enable them.
Changes to This Policy
If we add/remove cookies, change durations, or modify third-party services, we will update this page, revise the Effective date, and for material changes re-prompt the banner.
